Our music
The Acoustic Deep Fried Satellites are an experimental band based around Concord, NH and rooted in Appalachian Mountain Music. We play a unique blend of original tunes, Appalachian mountain music (AKA old time music), traditional folk tunes, Americana, Country blues, and Newgrass music. Some of our musical influences include; John Prine, Hank Williams Sr., Jerry Garcia and David Grisman, Old & in the Way, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, the Grateful Dead, Appalachian fiddlers modern and old: Bruce Molsky and Tommy Jarrell. Our music appeals to all ages. We look forward to sharing our music and being able to huddle around 1 mic (post Covid).
The band consists of Mac Holmes on Acoustic, Resonator or Baritone guitar, harmonica and vocals, Brian Vastine on claw hammer banjo and vocals, Joey Clark on Acoustic Hollow Body guitar, harmonica, and vocals, Drew Williard on acoustic bass and vocals, and Larry Houghton on fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, sound, recording and vocals.

These are a mix of some early recordings of the band at practice with a few recordings of individuals in the band doing their thing. They aren't perfect, but they do a decent job representing the general sound of the band. Except for the fiddle, since I had only been playing fiddle a few months when these were recorded, even so they are still ok.

Mac Holmes
Resonator guitar, Baritone guitar, harmonica, vocals, and song writing
Mac is very talented musician, singer songwriter. He plays multiple instruments. He is a very strong lead instrumentalist.
Larry Houghton
Fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, vocals, sound engineering, production, and song writing
Larry is a multi-instrumentalist who's latest attraction is old time fiddling.
Drew Willard
Acoustic Bass
Drew is a multi talented multi-instrumentalist who is playing his Acoustic Bass with the band.

The Deep Fried Satellites enjoy the luxury of having several talented friends who also love to play music. We often have these folks sit in with us at practices, jams and sometimes they join us or fill in at gigs.
Sam Perron
Acoustic Guitar, vocals and percussion
Sam is a talented multi-instrumentalist with great rhythm. Sam helps us out whenever he can.

Acoustic guitar, Scruggs style banjo, harmonica, vocals
Cody is an amazing musician who can play just about any type of music. He is a multi-instrumentalist. Really fun to have him join us.
